Launch of National Sanitation in the District capital Bolgatanga organised on the 4th October 2025, led by MCE Hon Roland Atanga Ayoo in the company of MCD Chimsi Musah and the staff of Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly, Fire Service, Police Service and the YEA came out in their numbers to support the cleanup activities. This was done in collaboration with Zoomlion who supported the activity with some working tools. The cleanup was a success especially extensive cleaning was done in the Bolgatanga new market. In addressing the gathering, the MCE Hon Roland Atanga Ayoo applied to the people of the municipality to make it a habit by cleaning their environment and also make sure that they join the Assembly every first Saturday of every month to undertake similar exercise. The sanitation taskforce were part of this activity and this time around the bylaws will bite. Citizens who do not abide by the bylaws will find themselves to be blamed.

Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Regional Coordinating Council held the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day at the Bolgatanga Social Center auditorium to mark the Republic Day Celebration. The Regional Minister, Hon Akamugri Donatus Atanga, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Roland Ayoo Atanga including dignitaries from the security services, religious sects graced the event.
The event was held in sessions comprising the Traditional prayers, Christian prayer and Islamic prayers.

The honorable Municipal Chief Executive pledged his commitment to work with all stakeholders to uplift the Bolgatanga Municipality. He appealed for their support and cooperation to be able to bring about the needed development in terms of sanitation, education, health, roads, etc. The honorable MCE was very particular about the menace of plastic waste which chokes drains, dirty the environment and kill animals. He therefore made passionate appeal to the chiefs and religious leaders to organize clean up exercises in their areas, and promised to support the construction of self help toilets in the various communities.
