SPONSOR FoD YEAR 14 - 3-5 September 2027

I'm just in the process of finalising details for the sponsorship packages, if you're interested in sponsoring Field of Dreams next year, drop me an email - there are various packages available some big, some small.

Email [email protected] if you are interested, let me know in the email what your trade is and the kind of thing you're thinking and then I'll get the sponsorship brochure over to you. I want to get these finalised as quickly as possible so that all sponsors can benefit from as long as possible in the lead up to next year's event.

Sponsorship will help to grow the event in ways that keep the nice chilled vibe it has always had, keep ticket and trade prices down and will help to keep it independent.

Today’s Show ’n’ Shine spotlight is on Jimmy Dale and his winner of Best Modified Beetle at this year’s Field of Dreams. Starting with what was essentially a barn find in bits, Jimmy combined a 1972 chassis with a 1973 left-hand-drive body, converted it to right-hand drive and added ’60s wings, bonnet and engine lid. It now sits on air ride and runs a 1600cc engine with twin 40 IDF carbs — plus, in Jimmy’s words, “a partridge in a pear tree”!

Ian Turner helped with balancing the engine and getting it running, while Shane of handled the wiring, but everything else was down to Jimmy and YouTube. The build took two and a half years of “tears and financial bankruptcy” and was finished in a BMW metallic green.

Field of Dreams was the car’s very first outing, and Jimmy says he was surprised simply to make it there and back… so winning Best Modified Beetle made the day even more special. Congratulations, Jimmy — a very well-deserved award for a true home-built Beetle.
