It’s been another busy few weeks here at GEL Engineering 🧑🏼‍🏭

Our latest project has got underway up in Cumbria for a new customer, including the installation of pipework on two hot liquor tanks, a cold liquor tank and a hop tank.

The first batch of five stainless steel IBC frames have been completed and delivered.

A new CIP manifold has also been fabricated and is ready for installation on site.

We’ve also completed the relocation and installation of an inline UV filter.

Another busy period with plenty more work underway!

Shutdown Installation Completed 🔧

Another successful shutdown project completed this week at a local tissue manufacturing facility.

The works included the installation of:

10mm high-pressure water line
12mm glue line
16mm hydraulic lines

Also a delivery of materials ready for the fabrication of a new CIP manifold and UV filter pipework.

A selection of projects completed over the past few weeks:
Installation of a 2" 5D vacuum line.
Fabrication and installation of a new pivoting griddle plate.
Installation of 16 new blowdown tubes, mirror welded in position during a scheduled shutdown.
Installation of a pump and associated 2" pipework.
Currently working on a local site, assisting with the installation of two new 4" water lines.

Several jobs completed recently :

- Heat exchanger install
- Fabricated and fitted pre-fabbed spools during a shutdown.
- Continuing to assist a valued customer in Sunderland with an ongoing project.
- 1" spool for a new customer in south Wales.

Last week was productive on the road, putting the miles in.

- First stop was Cumbria for a meeting with a potential new customer.
- Next, over to the east to Sunderland to assist an existing customer with a current project.
- I made a stop in Congleton on my way home to visit a customer needing some modifications.
- Finally, spools were completed over the weekend in preparation for site on Monday.

Looking forward to what this week will bring !

Ive had worse drives on a sunday evening ready to start the week ⛰️

It's been a bit quiet here lately, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy.

Here are a few recent jobs we've completed:

✅ Cooker paddle install
✅ Metric spools
✅ Stainless frames
✅ Pump and tank stands with adaptors
✅️ Access Platform

We are also handling numerous enquiries, quotes, and site visits for potential new customers.

A productive two days were spent completing a job for our returning customer.

After experiencing a setback, the customer contacted us for a quick turnaround on installing a new hot and cold water feed for a new piece of equipment.

As always we were happy to assist and meet our customers needs.

This week has been productive in the workshop.

- Stainless access stairs have been completed.
- A small batch of SHD40 spools is finished.
- Mectric manifolds are currently underway.
- A flowmeter is ready for installation on site.
- Material for six new work benches is being cut and prepared.

Next week is sure to be a busy one 🫡

A fully insulated and cladded 5000L hot water tank has been successfully completed, delivered, and installed at our customer's site. This project was necessary due to the original fibreglass tank, which began to fail and leak as a result of the chemicals mixed with the hot water. We are pleased to provide a solution that meets our customer's needs and ensures reliability moving forward.
