With the wheels and axles nearing completion, work has started on the chassis of the tipper wagons for Haigh Woodland Railway Association . Here we are straightening parts of the bent C channel before cutting out and replacing the stiffener brackets.

Once the engine landed inside the works, we did a couple of initial checks and then decided to try for a start. With little effort the engine burst into life. Now to the plan of works required, including re gauging this great little loco!

Wheels for Haigh Woodland Railway!

We have started the project for Haigh Woodland Railway Association to restore and re gauge two Hudson tipper wagons.

The wheels have been removed from their axles and the new Axle material is being machined ready for the wheels to be pressed back on!

Watch this space for more updates on these wheels and the restoration of the chassis!

🪵 Living Van Body Taking Shape!

Great progress on our bespoke living van build at C.J.S Heritage Engineering Ltd. The timber frame is up, fully clad in a breathable membrane and T&G!

Strong, well-braced, and built to last, this wooden body is starting to bring the whole project to life.
