WE’RE HIRING.

The team at Knaresborough Engineering need another pair of hands in the office.

What’s the job title?

We’re not entirely sure yet. And frankly, we’re not that bothered.
You’ll answer the phone. Answer the door. Do some filing. Put things into computers. Make tea and coffee. Find things that other people have definitely put somewhere “safe”. Help the directors. Help the office team. Help the design team. Help keep the workshop and office connected. And generally get stuck into whatever needs doing.

In old-fashioned terminology, you might be called an office assistant.

We prefer 'indispensable, all-knowing, problem-solving, tea-making, phone-answering, workshop-connecting, keep-everything-moving member of the team'.

We’re looking for someone confident, outgoing and comfortable talking to people. You don’t need years of experience or an impressive collection of qualifications. You do need common sense, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and the confidence to get involved.

This is very much an entry-level opportunity, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. We’ve been around for over 50 years, and we’re still moving forward. For the right person, there’s plenty of opportunity to learn, take on more responsibility and carve out a proper role for yourself within the company.

Our office is busy, formally informal and good fun. We work hard, take what we do seriously, but try very hard not to take ourselves too seriously.

If your main concern is having an impressive job title on day one, this probably isn’t for you.

If you’re more interested in learning, getting involved, making yourself useful and earning the enormous glory and kudos that comes with working at Knaresborough Engineering, we should talk.

You should ideally be prepared to fight a tiger for the position.
Tiger fighting experience is not essential. Full training will not be provided.
