We are delighted to report the installation of a Gazzella T4800 dedicated two piece gluer at a privately owned sheet plant in the UK.

“Following three recent Gazzella two piece stitcher/gluer installations in the UK, we have just supplied a fourth machine – a T4800 – to Surepac,” says Paul Herson. “Surepac’s Managing Director, Tony Sharratt, wanted a machine to handle large format Octabins as well as the normal single and two piece work. The Gazzella DT4800 dedicated two piece gluer was installed in November and the customer is already producing a high volume of work from this machine.”

The DT4800 is a semi-automatic gluer, which produces single and/or two-piece corrugated boxes. It can be run by one operator, is easy to set up and can run at high speed, depending on box size and format. It handles sheets from a minimum size of 270 x 200mm up to a maximum of 4,800 x 2,000mm. Many thanks to Brunton Publications for sharing our latest news on the sale of the 10th Weipong flexo converting line; this one, a Venus FFG, is going to Fastbox in Leeds. The machine is on the high seas and we expect to be installing before the end of the year.

We are delighted to announce that we have confirmed a financial sponsorship package for Rosie Galligan, who is due to step out with the Red Roses at this weekend’s Six Nations Grand Slam decider against France in Paris.

This young woman is made of tough stuff. Not enough that she has scaled the heights of club and country on the rugby pitch, but when you read of her struggles off the pitch, things quickly come into perspective. In 2019, the Harlequins and England lock was 24 hours away from having her legs amputated after contracting meningitis. Having recovered, she got back to fitness and in spring of 2020, was back on the field of play, when a freak accident saw her smash her ankle, fracture three bones and multiple ligament damage – it looked like her career was over.

Well, needless to say, the strength of character and resilient patience has paid off, with her stepping out in the England kit once more this weekend. Best of luck, Rosie. You are an inspiration and we are proud to support you.

What a way to start the New Year!! Excellent news from BoxWay Packaging Group as they are up and running with their brand new Hanway HighJet digital printing machine! This water-based inkjet printing machine will help them expand their short run and POS offering to their growing customer base.
