Quiet isn’t a luxury. It’s something everyone should have - no matter their address, budget or stage of life. ✨
A new social housing project in Dresden, Germany demonstrates how thoughtful design can create quieter, more comfortable homes for 58 households.
By incorporating FTT R3 FSC sound-insulating roof windows, the project provides naturally lit, peaceful living spaces with noise reduction of 42 dB and excellent thermal insulation of 0.81 W/m²K. Together, these features help create a comfortable indoor environment while supporting energy efficiency all year round.
Energy savings matter everywhere, but especially in social housing, where smart design choices can help reduce everyday living costs. That’s why the project combines well-insulated roof windows with accessories such as the XDP insulation kit and AMZ New Line external awning blinds. These help protect interiors from overheating without blocking the view, balancing thermal comfort with natural daylight.
“This project is a reminder that high-quality design can, and should, serve everyone. And we’re proud that FAKRO solutions contribute to better, quieter, more sustainable living for real communities,” says Lars Leopold from FAKRO.
