Been an amazingly busy time since we last posted — new installations and repairs all over the place.
Genuinely appreciate the support, thank you all 💙

BUT… one thing we haven’t been called out for nearly as much as we should be…

👉 Servicing of roller shutter doors.

A lot of businesses don’t realise that shutters fall under H&S and PUWER requirements, and insurers are starting to tighten their belts on this side of things 😅🫣

No scare tactics — just a heads-up before it becomes an issue.

“Bit of blue for the dads”!
A couple of installs from this week, both posed their own problems to over come.
A garage door replacement with very little head clearance saw us go for a 40mm extruded aluminium curtain allowing for a smaller box and gaining the customer a much needed 160mm extra head room gain when in open position, allowing entry and exit without the need to limbo.
Then on to a huge double fire exit door set, with external locking?, whilst allowing two fully functional push bar internal openers, along with a huge top infill panel to match 😎

STORM DAMAGE DOORS.
Unprecedented winds today in Scotland, causing havoc including ‘blown-in’ industrial doors.
Tips to safe guard.
Park a large vehicle in front of the door.
Use wagon straps from side to side inside to prevent a blow-in and secure if already blown-in.
Please do not put yourself in the danger zone!!!
A blown in door curtain will throw you like your not there, and do not attempt ladders.
If you are unfortunate to have a blown in door, please do not hesitate to call us for advice or repair.
