Coordination ≠ Ex*****on"
Great models don’t guarantee buildable, usable, or trusted information on site.
Most BIM workflows are optimised for coordination. Very few are designed for ex*****on. On-site, teams don’t need perfect geometry.
They need timely, reliable, contextual information — tied to work packages, sequences, and real conditions. Instead, construction teams are left to translate models into PDFs, mark-ups, spreadsheets, and memory.
That translation layer is where risk multiplies. Delays, rework, and disputes don’t come from missing models — they come from missing operational data.
If BIM doesn’t support daily site decisions, is it a tool for delivery — or just documentation?
