What a privilege it was to host Ailsa Dragan from Parkinson's UK and present her with a donation from the Power Plastics Limited 'David Price Foundation'. 💷

Dougie from our Thornaby factory had the honour of presenting the cheque, after nominating the charity in support of his mother, who has been living with this cruel disease for the past decade.

Parkinson's UK plays a vital role in improving life for people affected by Parkinson’s. Through funding groundbreaking research, providing specialist support services, and campaigning for better health and care, the charity works tirelessly to ensure no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. Supporting organisations like this is essential in driving progress towards better treatments — and ultimately, a cure.

It’s causes like this that remind us why giving back matters. We’re proud to support the incredible work being done to help those living with Parkinson’s and their families. 💙

🎄 We are delighted once again to be sponsoring Christmas in Thirsk and the Thirsk Christmas Lights, which will be turned on this Friday (28th November). As always the 'Thirsk Yarnbombers' have excelled themselves and their works can already be found all around the clocktower and hanging from a huge tree outside Thirsk Hall and St Mary's Church.

🎸 Entertainment starts in the Market Place from 5pm with the Big Switch-on scheduled for 6:30pm. The Christmas Fayre in the Town Hall runs from 4pm - 7.30pm on Friday and 10-4pm on Saturday.

💶 Raffle tickets are still available for the cash prize draw (£300, £200 and £100), which will be drawn on the 29th of November at the Fayre. Grab your raffle tickets from Luke Miller & Assoc Estate Agents or during either day at the Christmas Fayre.

Today via the Power Plastics "David Price Foundation" we had the great pleasure of making a donation to Lucie's Animal Rescue in our home town of Thirsk. Lucie does an incredible job rescuing, recovering and rehousing animals of all shapes and sizes. We got to meet her 4 adorable French Bull Dog puppies, who were rescued along with their mother at just 2 days old!

Thank you to Michelle Dale for nominating Lucie's Animal Rescue and for presenting the cheque to Lucie and her fury (and feathered) friends! Our donation has been split between helping cover Lucie's huge monthly vet bills and buying food and winter bedding for the smaller animals.
