We are always happy to help wherever we can and to invest in future young engineers.
This autumn a recent donation of electrical equipment and control components is set to benefit apprentices in the electrical, electronics, and control & instrumentation fields thanks to a generous contribution from HEMCO Power & Control Systems Ltd.
HEMCO has over 60 years experience in designing and building electrical control systems for a wide variety of process control, machinery and manufacturing applications from inception to installation. They currently have a first year apprentice training with Southampton Engineering Training Association Ltd (The) at the moment.
The donation from HEMCO will be used to help apprentices in developing their practical skills as part of their journey to becoming industry-ready and will be used across multiple training workshops, allowing apprentices to gain experience with components used in modern industrial environments.
Emma Palma-Esposito, Office Manager at HEMCO said “We are happy to support SETA with this donation. We have a rolling programme of apprenticeships to meet future business needs so fully understand the importance of assisting the next generation in their training”.
David Payne, SETA’s Workshop Manager said: "As a registered charity established in 1969, SETA is committed to providing quality engineering training for young people. This donation will definitely help with this”.
