Another successful extraction clean completed for our client in Hayling Island ✅

Our team recently carried out a full kitchen grease extract system clean, completed in accordance with BESA TR19® Grease compliance standards.

When a kitchen extraction system is properly cleaned and maintained, it significantly reduces the build-up of grease and other combustible materials within the ductwork — helping to minimise fire risk and prevent rapid fire spread through the system.

Regular TR19-compliant cleaning not only improves safety but also supports insurance compliance, system efficiency, and overall kitchen hygiene.

✅ Installation complete — The Edge, Birmingham

We’ve officially wrapped up our installation at The Edge, and as you can see, the clients are absolutely over the moon in their brand-new kitchen 😄

This was a brilliant project to be part of, carefully designed to balance hygiene, functionality, and character. The original brickwork has been preserved and protected with hygienic Perspex cladding, keeping the personality of the space while meeting commercial kitchen standards. This was paired with full hygienic wall cladding and stainless steel cladding to the cookline wall for durability and ease of cleaning.

🔥 Equipment & fabrication included:
• Lincat 6-burner oven range
• Bespoke stainless steel fabrication
• Smeg semi-commercial dishwasher

A huge thank you to The Edge / Friction Arts for trusting us with such a meaningful project. Seeing our clients happy at the end of a job like this is always the best part.

✨ We’re thrilled to be in the middle of installing our first project of 2026! ✨

We’re proud to be working with The Edge, the creative home of Friction Arts — a brilliant arts organisation based in Birmingham that has been using creativity to bring communities together since 2004.

🎨 What is The Edge?
The Edge is Friction Arts’ vibrant studio and community space in Deritend/Highgate. Originally a boiled sweet warehouse, it’s now been transformed into a unique, welcoming creative hub that isn’t a typical “white cube” gallery — it’s full of character, history, and energy.

It’s a place where artists and people from all walks of life come together for performance, workshops, exhibitions, rehearsals, community events and much more — equipped with a full kitchen, accessible facilities, lighting and sound gear, and lots of flexible space to experiment and create.

Friction Arts use The Edge as more than just a building — it’s the heart of their mission to help people find their voice through art, build confidence, explore wellbeing through creativity, and even develop careers in creative industries.

🙏 This project means a lot to us — it’s more than an installation, it’s a chance to support a space that makes a real difference to artists and communities. We’re so pleased to be working with them and can’t wait to share more as we progress.

🚨 Project Complete! 🚨

We’ve just wrapped up a project at Forerunner Catering in Bournemouth, who do fantastic work producing nutritious school meals for primary schools across Dorset. 🍎🥦

Our team designed, supplied, and installed a bespoke extraction system – and this was no small task… the canopy came in at a huge 9200mm wide! 🤯

The project was completed over the summer holidays to minimise downtime and ensure everything was ready for when the children returned to school.

What a week last week was! 🚀

We had not one, not two… but FOUR installations running at the same time – a real milestone for our team and proof of what we can achieve with the right planning and teamwork.

We’re currently installing a brand-new extraction system as part of a commercial kitchen project in partnership with AVE Ltd.

This one’s for a food production kitchen that creates delicious, nutritious meals for schools across Bournemouth – so getting their ventilation right is absolutely key to keeping things safe, efficient, and running smoothly.
