The flooding season is now well and truly upon us after two named storms in just a couple of days.
Storm Austen is hitting the south west and Wales today (October 23) while storm Boelo will batter Northern Ireland, Scotland and parts of northern England over the weekend.

Make sure you’re prepared for flooding with the unique FloodSax alternative sandbags which work both indoors in their dry state to catch internal leaks, floods and escapes of water and outside as instant sandless sandbags to prevent floodwater getting in.
FloodSax director Jessica Bailey (pictured with a box of 20 FloodSax before they are transformed into instant sandbags) says: “The Met Office weather forecast for the coming weeks is dominated by rain and high winds which will drive that rain into homes and businesses through leaking roofs, windows and gaps under doors and FloodSax are perfect for soaking that up.
“On top of that there is the constant risk of flooding from intense deluges. It’s safe to say the hot, dry summer is fast becoming a distant memory’’
