This is why regular machine servining is the key to your success ……

During a recent service it was highlighted that the motor power cables in the x axis cable chain had gotten into a sorry state indeed .

Leaving things like this unchecked can have severe consequences for your machine 💥💥💥💥

After installing new cables the machine is now back in great order and ready for action again .

Good morning all .

Do you have a erratic rotary speed pot on your hand control ? Jumping all over the place and causing a nuisance !?!?

This customer gave me a shout asking if I could repair this before they had to replace the full unit at great expense .

No sweat for CNC Medic Ltd , replacement potentiometer sourced and replaced onsite.
As you can see from the video the replacement was a great success .

Here we have a few images from a recent service carried out on a scm accord 25 fx

Spindle draw bar protrusion well within specification as shown in the image.

Electrospindle drive belt checked and found to be worn (will require replacement )

Also discovered a rather noisy z axis ballscrew (also requires replacement)

Well it’s that time again when a very injured accord 30fx is brought to my attention . No sweat though as this isn’t CNC Medic Ltds first rodeo with this level of damage.

After what can only be described as a horror Collision with a workpiece the machine came off a hell of a lot worse .

As you can see from the images this Scm Group accord 30fx has its guts well and truly exposed .

After a thorough strip , clean and replacement of the z axis casting , z axis ballscrew ,linear rails and bearings . Plus a b axis casting the machine is starting to look much better .

Keep checking in to see the progress of this repair in the upcoming days .

Evening all .

Sorry for my lengthy absence but I’ve been crazy busy and keep forgetting to post so here I am 😜

I was recently called to site to inspect a automatic hood unit on a record 125 .

After a slight mishap involving a work table stop the pneumatic cylinder had come off much worse .

Luckily or unluckily for the customer in question this wasn’t first time this had happened , salvaging parts from another unit I was able to create a frankensteins monster of a hood unit meaning they were back in business .

I understand the pressures of production and how much machine downtime can harm your work demands . Meaning things like these will always be attempted to get you up and running .

With the accord rebuild being completed I now have some time to post what we’ve been upto .

Afternoon all

I’m still here but as you can see I’m currently nursing a very poorly accord 30fx back to life after what can only be described as a horror collision with a workpiece. 🫣

After a full refresh of the z axis rails, bearings , ballscrew and casting we should have breathed life back into this machine .

It’s that time of year when your winding production down and putting all your machines into a Christmas slumber for two weeks for a well earned rest.
