Heavy duty Galvanised creeps made from 8mm plate and weighing 37Kg

I made one of these for a friend who has a potting boat and it worked really well, so now I'm advertising them to see if there is any further interest, they are designed in such a way that there are 12 snag points on the bottom at any given time.

I keep some stock but when they go it can take me around 3/4 weeks to make more and get them galvanised.

*Waiting for stock now estimated ready on 18/05/26* will update if sooner

Price includes VAT, they are £200 +VAT

Will work out the postage on enquiry using the most economical method, usually around £20 for a single creep to mainland UK

Thanks for looking

Refurbished a spheroidal graphite telehandler axle with a broken knuckle yoke/ bearing mount.

Set the axle square on the mill, created reference setting strips for future set-ups, made an insert to allow the bottom bearing mount centre to be set to.

Opened up the existing damaged bore and manufactured a new insert from bs970 080 M40 (EN8), leaving material in the bore for finish machining after it had been welded in.

Used a combination of mig with mild steel wire and tig using high nickel filler wire to prevent future cracking which is common with cast iron repairs.

Quite pleased with the result, will be hard to tell it's been repaired once it's painted

Offering a small scale machining and fabrication service from my home workshop. Over the last 8 months I have been converting an agricultural shed into a small workshop and equipping it with an ever growing arsenal of equipment.

Currently I am building the business capabilities up, I mostly work for a regular customer who provide a steady stream of work, I will always consider any enquiry however.

Recently I have fabricated new doors for the workshop, designed and fabricated a lifting gantry with a SWL of 3000Kg, brought in a Harrison m350 lathe and Anayak mill, installed heating and fume extraction, installed compressed air and acquired lots of storage for tooling, now I am in the process of building up tooling which will be a slow process, but I will tool up any specifics as and when the requirement arrises.

To briefly introduce myself, primarily I have always worked in engineering as a machinist and a mechanical design engineer, originally heavy engineering in Sheffield but we moved down to Cornwall a few years ago because it's such a nice place. Spent a good few years working from home as a mechanical design engineer, recently I have been working as an on-site machinist at BAE in Barrow-in-Furness which involved a very big commute. Now I am going back to mechanical design local to home, which will free up time for doing a little more machining work in my workshop.

As hobbies I like scuba diving which I have done for years, motorbikes which I have had on and off since I was 17 and cruising around Cornwall on a sailing boat which is always a constant in my life, seem to be getting into tractors now I have more grass to cut, this is probably an expensive pass time too far 🤣

On the side I undertake small machining projects at home and light fabrication work through my LTD company. I will be looking to further this in future. I'm fairly adaptable and happy to do anything, Over the years I have even driven HGV's as a sort of working hobby although I don't do it at the moment, this was just something completely different from my day job and a way of earning extra money in the past when I first took an office job.
