We often get asked what goes on before a machine is dispatched to a customer?

Well there's a long list of things involved in a PDI, which are machine specific, however, one of most important steps in a strict PDI is the Geometry Acceptance Test, conducted by a Renishaw XL-80 Interferometer.

𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 - It measures geometry to a tolerance of ±0.0005 mm? Yes, we know you asked it... that's HALF A MICRON! This is achieved through thermal control of the laser tube length. Impressive right?

We ensure each and every machine has the results recorded, with a quality pack generated and stored for service records.

No corners cut here.

Now here's one to shout about! Ordered on a Friday, up and running parts on the following Wednesday, with fixtures and full programming of various parts provided.... Yes, we think that's a SOLID effort too!

This customer had been let down by another manufacturer, and with parts urgently needing machining, he invested in our Siemens powered SYIL X5, with only a 1000mm wide footprint you could say we weren't overly worried that it wouldn't fit... 🤣
