Components that are ready for take-off and beyond - it’s what we make every day! 🛫

As an EN 9100-certified manufacturer, we’re set up to meet the strict quality requirements that come with aerospace, aviation and defence work.

That means controlled processes throughout production, clear traceability back through each job, documented inspection and the records to show exactly what’s been checked and when.

Centreless grinding has been our forte since the 1970s, so it’s fair to say we’ve put a few bars through the grinders over the years!

With several Cincinnati and Ghiringhelli machines on the shop floor, we regularly achieve tolerances of around 2-5 microns across components ranging in diameter from just 0.5 mm to 200 mm.

We can also straighten and grind full bar lengths, preparing them for the next stage of production. For this batch, some smooth, uniform bars are well on their way. 👌

Our CAD/CAM software allows us to take customer designs and translate them accurately into the machining process, helping us manufacture components exactly as intended.

It also makes programming quicker, helps us tackle more complex geometries and keeps everything tied closely to the original design.

Lined up and ready to go!

These mill-turned parts are heading over to our inspection department, where the critical dimensions and features will be checked against the drawing before they’re signed off.

Our on-site, temperature-controlled inspection department has a wide range of measuring equipment to carry out those checks, from digital and analogue micrometers and sigma comparators to plug and thread gauges, plus special-purpose measuring equipment.

Plenty of ways to make sure everything is as it should be. 👍

Our PRIMA inspection system is fired up and on a roll! 👌

When components need checking, a full automatic inspection cycle can take as little as 30 seconds, all from the press of a button.

The measurement data is then stored digitally, giving production a clear record to work from and helping keep the process in check as parts come off the machines.
