After the appalling weather that has swept through the UK the last 2 weeks, it was great to have a break recently to assist a client on their wind farm.

Wind farms are located in areas such as the mountain passes of mid Wales where wind is often channeled and accelerated to maximise the turbines energy production. The irony being we need a good calm day to complete operations.

With a fairly clear sky and good frost, it was a cold early start for the BFCH contract lift staff as they worked hard to exchange a Generator on one of the existing turbines.

Rural areas quite often demand something different from the crane industry. Which explains why the BFCH marooka is in high demand from customers with interests across the UK.

Recently our marooka was deployed to assist in the maintenance of equipment for flood defences in an area inaccessible to traditional mobile and tower cranes.
