Deposits & Payment
A deposit of 20%–50% is required before any 3D printing work begins. The percentage is determined based on the size, material requirements, and complexity of the job. The remaining balance is due upon completion and must be paid before the final product is released to the customer. Once materials have been ordered or printing has begun, the deposit becomes non-refundable. All p
rices are quoted in GBP (£) and are inclusive/exclusive of VAT where applicable.
2. Fulfilment & Lead Times
Completion times depend on material availability, design complexity, print size, and workload. Any estimated timeline provided is an approximation only and not a guaranteed delivery date. Next Layer 3D Printing will inform customers of expected delays where reasonably possible.
3. Materials & Print Quality
3D printed parts may show layer lines, colour variations, and minor surface imperfections; these are natural characteristics of the process and not considered defects. Different materials offer different finishes, strengths, and tolerances, and the customer is responsible for selecting a suitable material for their intended application.
4. Design Files & Intellectual Property
Customers must ensure that any design files supplied are owned by them or properly licensed for use. Next Layer 3D Printing accepts no liability for copyright or licensing issues linked to customer-provided files. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, design files and models created by Next Layer 3D Printing remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced or shared without permission.
5. Cancellations & Changes
If a job is cancelled after the deposit has been paid and materials ordered or printing has commenced, the deposit will not be refunded. Design amendments or specification changes requested after work has begun may incur additional charges and may affect lead times.
6. Liability & Use of Printed Parts
Next Layer 3D Printing does not provide any warranty, guarantee, or assurance regarding the suitability, strength, durability, or safety of printed products.
3D printed parts are not recommended for load-bearing, structural, mechanical, or safety-critical applications unless assessed independently by a qualified engineer. Customers are responsible for ensuring the final product is suitable for its intended purpose. To the fullest extent permitted under UK law, Next Layer 3D Printing accepts no liability for damage, loss, injury, or consequential costs arising from the use or misuse of printed parts.
7. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
