Summer ready ☀️☀️

This customer wanted to get their trailer ready for the summer ahead after it had been sat unused for a couple of years.

Needed a new floor as the old one had rotted away around the outside and a new strut for the top as the original one had failed meaning it wasnt giving any assitance to opening the lid. Also needed new tyres and the lights sorting🚥

All new parts supplied and fitted its now ready to load up and go 🏕

Bike trailer modification🏍🥽💥

Had this little bike trailer back in last week, the customer had recently changed bikes and wasnt happy how the new one was secured to the trailer and wanted some additional tie down points for the handlebars.

After getting some measurments from him to make sure what he wanted was going to work i added these outriggers and hooks to the existing frame so he can now get his straps on the handlebars to pull the front down and forward to keep it secure 💪

After regreasing the bearings and checking the rest of the trailer over for him its ready for the next adventure 👍🏍

Another Ifor Williams in for panel replacements✅️⚒️

Busy over the last couple of weeks with panels, had this Ifor Williams 510 in for side panels replacements which, like many Ifors this age had gone soft.

Most people dont know where or how to check the panels and the way to do this is push the panels mainly in the corners to check for movement, any movement normally means the panel has gone soft and will require replacing.

Its really important to check your panels regularly as the structrual integrity of the trailer is in the panels and if they're rotten the trailer isnt safe. The only way to sort this is replace the panel(s).

The amount of bodge jobs out there to try and strengthen rotten panels is shocking and putting horses in those trailers on the road is dangerous to say the least🚨

Unhappy Camper ⛺️😥

This lost a wheel and had to be recovered home where it sat for months while the customer tried to source an axle, over a 25 week lead time from Alko direct and nearly double the price of the one i fitted 🤮 Its now running a made to measure high tensile alloy axle with better brakes and bearings and will undoubtedly outlast the caravan.

Busy morning over at keeping their fleet of trailers roadworthy 💪 these trailers are in constant use so making sure they're safe is important to them🚜

New brakes, cables and bearing regrease on their M&E flatbed also new replacement lights and jockey wheels on the other two they're all back ready to work 👌

Had this 510 in over the weekend to get a few jobs done on it, offside side panel replacement, removed the axles to descale, treat the rust and paint and replaced all the brake backplates with new brakes allround 💪 its now ready for a busy summer ahead 🐎🐎🌞🌞

"Panels just starting to go soft"

Seeing this alot lately in for sale posts when people write "panels just starting to go soft" or something similar, or worse yet someones screwed something to a soft panel and says "panels re-enforsed" like they've done you a favour🤦‍♂️ 🚩

This was one of those trailers but at least the seller hasn't tried to hide anything, but they were unaware how bad the panels were, and to be fair when the trailers got the interior covers on you cant see the extent of the damage. The right hand panel has literally folded in half and the left not far behind it (panels literally turning into compost) and yet 3 months ago this was on the road with horses in it.

Imagine a horse leaning on that side panel when going round a bend or if it lost its footing when travelling, its coming out the trailer and theres nothing that would stop it.

I urge everyone to check their panels next time your with your trailer, push the corners and along the bottom and top with your hands or with a broom handle or whatever youve got handy, any movement then more than likely you need a new panel, or if your not sure I can come and have a look over it for you. I'm happy to check panels free of charge if im passing or can tie it in with other jobs.

Coffee Van Resto ☕️☕️

After arriving on a trailer with 4 flat tyres and two very rusty axles this is ready to serve ☕️

Two new axles made to measure and fitted along with new brakes, bearings, hubs, wheels and tyres its ready to hit the road🛣

Finished off with a new hitch coupler and damper and fresh wiring to sort the lighting troubles 🤌💡

If your thinking about a trailer conversion for a or anything else, before spending any money on making the outside look pretty get under it and have a look at the running gear as thats almost always overlooked and often not roadworthy 🚩
