⚓ Project Complete on a 1982 Westerly Konsort in Galmpton!⚡
Another classic cruiser brought up to modern standards by the Spark Marine team.

🔵🔌We recently carried out a complete rewire of the 230V system, ensuring the boat’s shore-power setup is safe, reliable, and ready for future upgrades. We also installed a Victron Smart Charger — a major improvement, as the boat previously had no mains charging system at all 🔵🔌

🔋On the DC side, we fitted a new switch panel, carried out a full tidy-up of the wiring in the battery compartment, installed an ONWA chart plotter with built in AIS and added an additional battery to give the owners extra capacity and confidence while cruising🔋

⚡ Another job sorted by Spark Marine! ⚓

We recently carried out some fault finding and rectification work onboard a customers lovely Fairline Targa 44 at Portishead Marina.

🔷 The Victron Skylla IP65 charger wasn’t charging the domestic battery bank correctly – fault identified and resolved.

🔸 The horn and searchlight were also not working. After thorough testing, we got the horn operational again and replaced the searchlight to ensure full functionality. Massive thank you to DB Fabs for manufacturing a stainless steel adaptor plate for the new searchlight to be mounted on in such short notice.

🔋We also carried out a battery health check on all battery banks while on board. Reliable systems mean safer and smoother trips at sea.

⚡️Back onboard a returning customer’s beautiful Bavaria 37 Sport HT this week!⚡️

Customer reported that the Fischer Panda generator kept shutting itself down after a few minutes of running. After some thorough diagnostics, we traced the fault to the control panel itself — and once swapped out, she was back to running smooth and steady 💪🔧

While we were there, we also gave the generator a full service and sorted a slow-draining shower tray, bringing everything back to shipshape.

Always great to help our regulars keep things running safely and reliably at sea ⚓

⚓️ Diagnosed and replaced a faulty windlass motor with a brand-new Quick DP2 windlass.
⚙️ Fully serviced both Volvo D6 engines.
🔋 Confirmed alternator operation and replaced all battery banks for dependable power supply.
⚡️Topped up and bled the hydraulic steering system for smooth handling.
🚽 Replaced a faulty Jabsco toilet flush mechanism and renewed all pipework from toilet to holding tank after severe blockages.

⚡ Call-Out Success Story! ⚡

We were recently called out to troubleshoot a charging issue on this lovely Discovery 57 where the pre-fitted Mastervolt 24V alternator wasn’t doing its job – batteries were not being charged. 🪫
We traced the fault back to the Mastervolts external regulator. Once replaced, we didn’t just stop there…

We fully configured the client’s Victron Energy system, including:
✅ Quattro Inverter/Charger
✅ SmartSolar MPPT
✅ Victron SmartShunt
✅ Cerbo GX with CCGX display
