We recently supported a cladding specialist customer with removal of old and installation of new wall inside the cold storage belonging to one of the major retailers.
We supplied a bespoke Lift Plan, our electric spider crane Hoeflon C6 with operator and CladBoy.
Everything planned with close cooperation with our client and warehouse operator to minimise disruption and allow the warehouse to remain operational during the works. The job finished day ahead of the original schedule, great effort from everyone involved.
We don't only lift things up and down. Customers projects and problems become our own the moment we do the site survey. Before the first lift, we sit down and listen to the customer, discuss the project thoroughly and identify all possible problems before they even have a chance to occur. Few photos from our recent contract lift in Peterborough.
Access to the courtyard restricted to 2.8m height meant no crane big enough to lift 1T steels for roof structure could get in.
We managed to find perfect spot for the crane just outside the building within the property boundary avoiding every clients worst nightmare, the dreaded road closure.
Taking advantage of Klaas K1003, kindly supplied by FJ Crane Hire Ltd, variable outriggers and very small ballast swing radius we saved the client few thousands pounds.

Short video from our recent contract lift helping engineering contractor with changing the bearing on screw turbine in beautiful Yorkshire.
Works consisted of removing 3.8T gearbox, 1T generator and other ancillaries to gain access to the worn bearing.
This was one of the few hydro powerplant jobs we have done in recent months.

A throwback to another heritage project we participated in last year.
Renovation of the roof on St.James Chapel in Lindsey, Suffolk.
Trusses we were trusted with are dated back to the late 15th century. It required a lot of patience, careful planning and very steady operating.
One bad move during the removal could destroy those fragile structures. Experience, skills and steady hand played a crucial role.
After successful removal, they were transported into the workshop of highly skilled traditional carpenters who made sure they will last another 500 years.
A few months later we were called to install them back on which was also completed successfully.
Now this little gem of late Medieval architecture, hidden away from beaten paths in beautiful countryside scenery can stand strong for another five centuries. Undisturbed, silent witness of passing time and forever changing world.
We are extremely proud to be involved in heritage projects and actively looking for more jobs like this.
