Is any strap waste collecting beside your strapping machine?

This should not be happening and is costing you money. The cause should be investigated rather than accepted as expected.

Unfortunately, many lines treat large numbers of failed straps as normal.

Straps that break.
Strapping that does not weld.
Strapping that the machine ejects.
Straps that the operator cuts and pulls.

But each of these has something in common: money that ends up in the waste bin.

This usually happens for three very clear reasons and can easily be fixed:

1) The strapping machine is not properly adjusted.

2) The strapping is not suitable for the machine or application.

3) No preventive maintenance is being done.

The problem is that, when normalised, it is no longer analysed.

It continues to be produced.
Strapping continues to be thrown.
And your bucket keeps on filling.

A well-adjusted, properly strapped, and maintained strapping machine doesn't need a waste bin for failed attempts. It indicates that the strapping process is not optimised.
