Key Responsibilities

Delivering and collecting plant machinery

Ensuring loads are secure and compliant

Completing delivery paperwork

Carrying out daily vehicle checks

Providing excellent customer service on-site

Requirements

Valid HGV licence (Class as required)

CPC qualification

Digital tachograph card

Good knowledge of local routes

Professional and customer-focused approach

Supporting the yard and sales team when required

Requirements

Knowledge of plant/tools (beneficial but not essential)

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Man to join our busy plant and tool hire team. This role is key to keeping the yard organised, safe and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing plant and equipment for hire

Cleaning, checking and fuelling returned equipment

Loading and unloading vehicles

Maintaining a tidy, safe yard environment

Assisting customers with collections and returns

Carrying out basic checks and reporting faults

Requirements

Good work ethic and positive attitude

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Mechanical knowledge (preferred but not essential)

Forklift licence (advantageous)

Team player with good communication skills

Being able to work on own initiative is a must

As we start to approach our busy season, we our on the look out for the right candidates to join our team.

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Counter Staff member to be the first point of contact for our customers. The role involves handling hire bookings, advising customers on tools and equipment, processing payments, and coordinating with the yard team to ensure smooth daily operations. Good customer service skills, basic admin ability are essential, knowledge in the plant hire industry would be desirable but full training will be provided to right candidate.

Must able to work Saturdays 8am-1pm

One hours lunch break

Week and half off at Christmas
