⚽️ That's a wrap for the 2025/26 Premier League Season. Tomorrow's final fixture at home to Barking Dog has been granted a Home walkover to us.
This means Boro will jump above Redcar and South Shields and be locked on the same points with 6th place Blakelaw but may miss out on a Europa League place on goal difference 😄
This season has been one that has seen the club take huge steps forwards with a lot of structure put in place last summer from the management team, committee and a lot of commitment from the lads who step out onto the pitch every week. We now have a permanent home at The Dormans club new which was a bit of a fortress in the first half of the season! Let's get back to that next season.
A few massive thank yous to our kit sponsors this season. Without the support you have given us, it makes the day to day running of a football club financially impossible. Your generosity with your sponsorships of our kits and training wear has been phenomenal. A Slater & Son Property Services Ltd and MTP Gas Ltd 2 fantastic local businesses! Thank you so much.
The businesses who have taken advertising space at The Dormans ALM Property Management 1 Ltd Fitness 22 GYM - Thank you for your support.
LALOsports for the supplies of our kits this season. The clobber has looked superb. Kits, training wear. Absolutely superb!
We have been raising awareness and much needed funds for a charity close to our hearts this season. First time we have done something like this as a football club. Unique - Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group. To everybody who came to our events, donated, gave up their times and danced the nights away with us - THANK YOU SO MUCH. We have one more event on the 20th June which is at The Dormans which is on our page already but will be sending out updates. It's a full FAMILY DAY so please come along.
The players - Over 40s Football in the North East has gained some incredible coverage over the last 3 years. The standard and fitness of individuals is another level these days. A lot of of footballers from professionals retiring, northern league players who are still playing at a top level alongside Over 40s football means that we have to be at our best to keep up with teams. Our lads have managed to reach the FINAL of the BIGGEST CUP competition at this level for the 2nd season in a row! 70+ teams from all 5 Divisions starting back in September. We lost to a team who won all 26 league games alongside another 10 games in cups and we look forward to meeting Sunderland Pennywell in the Premier league next season. Our lads are not far off winning silverware. A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to all the lads who have given up family and work time to represent BORO OVER 40s again this season.
Congratulations to Ferryhill winning the Premier League. Losing only 1 league game all season with the standards of the league these days is a great achievement.
Congratulations to Marden FC on winning the Divisional League Cup.
Our support has been brilliant this season. Seeing so many people coming out to watch us home and away is a real shot in the arm for the team. Thank you for braving some wet and windy days during the season. Seeing so many come out for the cup final was amazing. Hopefully next season you might see us lift a trophy!!
Keep an eye out on here for the next event on June 20th.
From everyone at BORO OVER 40s - Well done to ALL teams for a fantastic season. We look forward to another cracking season come August. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
See you in Liquor Vaults during the summer 🍻🍻
