We recently completed a commercial soundproofing job for on their meeting / AV rooms to increase privacy.

Adding mass to the walls and ceiling was the key to the overall result as well as sealing up the obvious gaps around the existing walls and doors.

With it being a working office we ensured all walkable floors were covered for the duration and disruption to employees was kept to a minimum.

A plaster and paint finish was also included to finish the walls.

Domestic soundproofing of a chimney breast and alcoves in Chorlton completed today ready for the customers plasterer to come and skim in the next few days.

A 50kg/m2 system installed in just over 1 day (one person prepping yesterday).

This particular customer was having issues with the customers sound bar next door, but I’m confident what we’ve installed will be more than adequate in giving our customers some peace and quiet in their lounge.

CUSTOMER REVIEW

Again I’d just like to thank you both I know its business but there is a way of doing business and you have both been so professional and helpful and most importantly honest and genuine people to deal with. I don’t want to jinx things as we have a weekend coming and noise levels usually rise then 🙄 but the reduction with the noise from neighbours has been game changing 🙌🏾 . We were able to sit and have conversation this week without having to put music or tv on in background to drown out the noise (although now i can hear hayley clearly talking to me about make up I may put it on next time to drown her out 🤣), it’s like a weight off our shoulders. We still get some kids screams coming through but we can deal with that now as 95% of the other noise isn’t.

I will definitely be putting on a 5 star review and have hopefully got a referral for you from one of the neighbours whose son has brought a drum kit 😂😂.

Anyway hope you both have a great weekend🍻

POST WEEKEND UPDATE

Weekend was fantastic thanks this has really changed things for us worth every penny (also I was at utd match so even better😎). Gary plasterer was great he came on Friday instead of Saturday bit last minute but I could accommodate and his work was excellent too. Said i would do him a review as well. Just decorating then plumber back now.

This secondary acoustic bay window along with a separate lift out is finished! I didn’t get home until 8pm but all was completed within 1 day. Not too shabby. All the customer needs to do now is paint the fillets either side that cap the end of the window chamber the same colour as the walls and you’d never even know the units they were there except for the deathly silence as the traffic rumbles past outside 🔇🚗🚙🚠🚓🔇

Two alcoves and a chimney breast soundproofed in 1 day today in Cheadle. We are able to do this (most of the time) as we have our process DOWN!! We have complete synchronicity and we are all thinking two steps ahead, preparing for and helping each other with the task at hand.

This in turn means less time having trades people in your house and it also makes it much cheaper than if the job had to take place over two days!

Last week we sorted the acoustics in the Lowry District Scouts hut. A fantastic reverb project that we got the full team on.

The vaulted ceilings in conjunction with all the hard surfaces was creating the perfect noisy storm. The noise effectively loops around the building until it’s absorbed, which was why the combination of baffles and wall panels were used to break up the flow.

In the words of the customer when they awarded us the contract-“you weren’t the cheapest but you were the most thorough in your approach and you proposed the most amount of absorption for the space”.

The amount of absorption is calculated using a Sabine calc, so the amount of absorption we proposed is the amount the space needs. If a lesser amount of absorption was used the result would be sub standard and the project would not hit the mark.
