A bank holiday trip to Ramsgate, although it felt more like the Med, gave me a chance encounter with ESL's beautiful ORC pilot boats. This is exactly the kind of moment that reminds me why I love what I do. ⚓

Seeing them brought back the ORC121L commission I completed for Cattewater Harbour Commissioners in Plymouth a bespoke print that still makes me proud every time I look at it.

If you've ever wanted a piece of maritime art that means something personal to you, whether it is a vessel you've worked on, sailed, or just simply love. That's exactly what I do.

After seeing just how popular the D-Class has been, I was curious to find out what comes next… and it turns out the next favourite is the Atlantic (B-Class) 🚤

Whether it’s the earlier 7.5m Atlantic 75 or the more modern 8.5m Atlantic 85, this class of lifeboat has clearly made its mark.

It’s easy to see why they’re so well loved. Fast, capable, and at the heart of countless shouts, each one has its own story and character behind it.

I’m also really looking forward to what’s next — I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of the brand new MK4 Atlantic 85s, and once they start going on station I’ll be able to create prints of those vessels too 👀

All of my prints are available through my website, with options for framed pieces or poster prints if you fancy adding one to your wall.

Thanks again for all the continued support — it genuinely means a lot ⚓

I was curious to find out which of my prints has been the most popular… and it turns out it’s the mighty D-Class Lifeboat 🚤

So far to date, I’ve sold 25 different prints of this incredible little boat ranging from RNLI vessels, independent Lifeboats and to ex-service boats, and even on more than one occasion a slightly cheeky, tongue-in-cheek piece showing at the boat capsized.

It’s amazing to see how much love there is for this class of lifeboat and the stories behind them.

All of my prints are available through my website, with options for framed pieces or poster prints if you fancy adding one to your wall.

Thanks so much for the continued support, it really does mean a lot ⚓

Another recent presentation from RNLI Montrose to a former crew member.

I am always honoured when lifeboat stations get in touch and ask me to complete prints like these for crew members.

And the secret is out! Late last year RNLI Montrose asked me if I would be able to draw the 48ft 6in Solent Class Lifeboat.

Of course, I was happy to oblige and here it is, as part of a retirement gift for Richard Cobb.

The Solent will soon be available for sale on my website, and will shortly be followed by the 48ft 6in Oakley class.

🌊 Ric Cobb retires after a lifetime of lifesaving service 🌊

After an incredible 33 years of volunteering over the last 42 years, Richard ‘Ric’ Cobb is retiring from Montrose RNLI. From lifeboat crew to launch authority, Ric’s dedication has helped keep our coastline safe and inspired generations of volunteers.

Join us in celebrating his incredible service and wishing him a happy, well-earned retirement 💙.

Congratulations to all of the former crew members who's commitment was recognised recently at RNLI Montrose

It was a pleasure to complete these artworks for the station.

Today we’re recognising and thanking several dedicated volunteers who have stepped down from their roles at Montrose RNLI, while also celebrating an incredible 20-year service milestone 👏🎖️.

From crew who joined as teenagers and progressed through the ranks, to those serving as Lifeboat crew, ILB Mechanic and Launch Authority, and those who led vital fundraising efforts, each has played an important part in helping us save lives at sea 🚤🌊

We are hugely grateful for their commitment, time and dedication to our station and our community.

It felt like the perfect time for another update on one of our current projects…

The Limited Edition A2 art print “Class of 26” is now available for pre-order featuring all 37 Mersey Class Lifeboats, illustrated in the later yellow and red stripe livery they wore when leaving service.

For those who prefer the earlier look, the original red stripe livery (as built) is also available.

Strictly limited to just 37 prints, we hope you think these are a fitting tribute to this iconic class.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
