Since 1991, Velstone has evolved from manufacturing solid surface sheets to delivering complete project solutions, supporting architects, contractors, fabricators and OEM partners from specification through to delivery. Our 25mm self-supporting solid surface is a good example, developed to simplify fabrication, reduce the need for substrates and make large-scale projects more straightforward.

That's the part of manufacturing we're proudest of: not just producing a material, but understanding the challenges behind a project and helping the whole process work better.

Recent disruption to shipping through the Suez Canal has created significant challenges for global supply chains, affecting how businesses move materials around the world.

At Velstone, we've had to be flexible, using a combination of land, air and sea freight to keep stock moving and projects on schedule.

It's a reminder that successful project delivery isn't just about producing a quality product. It's also about responding to challenges, finding solutions and doing everything possible to keep commitments to customers.

For those involved in education refurbishments, August can feel like a bit of a warzone!

The six-week summer holiday creates a narrow window to upgrade school laboratories before students return, making it one of the busiest times of year for everyone involved.

At Velstone, it’s all hands to the deck as we manufacture and supply 25mm laboratory worktops for schools across the UK and overseas, working to tight deadlines to help keep projects on track.

It’s a demanding few weeks, but incredibly rewarding to know that when September arrives, thousands of students will return to modern laboratories designed to support learning for years to come.
