Speedio doing speedio things! This is a new tray for a food packaging machine. The machine has a conveyor belt of (lots) of these. You pop the food tray in the hole, then it passes under a heater which seals it in cellophane. Very cool!

Some parts that I'm running for a local business. The main piece was straightforward but need to put some features in the end was a bit of a challenge. It looks as sketchy as you like but in fact there was no chatter and I had nothing to fear 😅

I like to be "lazy". There is no setup step here. I just probe the part in-machine, which means I can just throw it in roughly the right place and the machine figures out the details!

Quick emergency job. Got an order in for my pull stud tightening tools and didn't have any in 3/8" size! (I do now... ). The Speedio handles these jobs easily. Nice finish as well, despite this being a "lightweight machine"

Thanks for the order! 🙏

Just checking that the Sandvik face mill has still got all its teeth... It's only a fixture for something, but it's come out well!

Many thanks to for inviting us to be part of their stand at the show this week.

They were showing off the very cool Brother M200 machine (with full 5 axis and turning capability), being fed by a robot. We were making chess pieces ♟️ for fun and giving them away. I'm not sure how many thousand they made but I think they were deliberately keeping the machine on slow speed to avoid making too many! 🤣

We had our little range of tightening fixtures, work stops and pull stud tools on display 😍

Also and were there lending support.

I've just made up the last few switches that I ordered in from Japan. They are now Spindle Override Controls.

There is a 2 month delivery wait for more. Is there demand for these? Message me if you would be interested?

First batch of Brother spindle override controls went out to customers yesterday. Crimping and soldering was a lot slower and more fiddly than I had desired...

Anyway, I still have 2 switches left from the last order from Japan if anyone still wants in? Check out my shop or send me a DM.

Ok, that's the first 2 done and process tested. Need to step up the production now and finish the rest!

These are Speedio spindle override controls and there will be a couple extra on this run if anyone is still interested in one? See my shop page.

After much delay the main switch I need to make the Speedio override control is here! Lots of crimping ahead of me now.....

Who knew you could get heat shrink collets?! This has been sitting on my shelf for a little while, however I've a drill going blunt and it was pushing through a normal collet (rather than drilling into the material). This one won't be going anywhere! (ER25 collect on a 12mm shank just to give some scale)

I wasn't totally sure how to shrink it. However like the other Bilz shrink it's got a small ledge at the start. So I just heated it into it slipped down. Clip to make it easy to set the position. Fairly easy (getting it off might be more fun! 🤣)
