Korogocho School Project

Korogocho School Project We are fundraising for the New Star Light Primary School in Nairobi, Kenya. Donate at www.gofundme.com/korogocho. All funds go direct to the school. x

We are fundraising to improve the facilities at New Star Light School in Korogocho, Nairobi. We hope to provide the volunteer teachers with the basic teaching equipment that they currently lack. Students pay 400 Kenyan shillings a month in fees which translates to the paltry sum of £3. Even then, many students struggle to raise the money in an environment where the meagre income barely covers food

and shelter, let alone school. In the past year we raised around £800, which we are excited to say has already been put to good use at the school in the form of new toilet blocks which were much needed. We plan to continue fundraising to be able to support the school further and into the future! If you would like to get involved in the Korogocho School Project, message us on Facebook or send us an email at [email protected]. Lots of love,

The Korogocho School Project Team!

Construction has begun! Using the money we've raised over the last couple of years, New Star Light has started to build a second story on one of their buildings. We're hoping this will provide six new classrooms for the kids

Greetings from Raffaella!
A while ago my mum (centre in the photo) left a money box in a coffe-shop in Italy to collect money for the project. When I went back home last week I collected the money and I am happy to say that thanks to the content of the money box and a donation from my family we have raised the equivalent of a £90.
Thanks to the owners of the coffe-shop for their help and especially to my mum for her efforts in promoting our project! :)
