It moves under its own power!!!! Needs a good carburetor tune and the original power steering pump is very noisy. We had to swap the Beaufighter convertible with the 412 series 1 as we take a break from the Beaufighter to rebuild the front suspension on the 412 with new springs and wedges

Had a good Saturday fitting the newly refurbished subframe and front suspension. The car is now on the ground. The next job is to refurbish the bulkhead panels and make a new bulkhead floor. It's slowly going back together. I can't wait to start work on the engine rebuild

The 'fireturd' is making slow progress. A friend had a fire under the bonnet of his 411 about 1 1/2 years ago. He left it with a garage who was going to rebuild it but they had it over a year and only took the engine out, painted the engine and put the bare engine back in. Since we have had it, we have refitted most of the auxiliaries. We have had a couple of set backs - water pump bolts missing and down pipes fitted with random bolts and no gaskets. We got the engine running up to temperature for the first time only to find the seals in the oil pump were leaking. If the garage had done them when the engine was out it would have taken minutes to do!!! Now it is going to take a little longer but we will sort it.

Had a great day today. Fitted the heads on the Beaufighter convertible project as the car failed a compression test. Hopefully will have the rest of the engine back together and running next week. Cameron welded the front wheel arch and battery floor on the 412 series 2. Then home for a sleep as I'm still getting tired. Once awake I replaced the captive nuts on the 405 front floors and lower bulkhead

My Bristol 405 is starting to take shape. Parts are going back together. The chassis has been cleaned, treated and painted ready for the subframe to go back in. Next the rear axle needs to be removed to be stripped and rebuilt.
