Job description: AV and Audio integration Engineer
Company and Role.
Audioworks NW Ltd is a small AV and Audio integration business based in the Northwest / Yorkshire border. With over 25 years’ experience in the AV industry, we are looking to expand our team. We are currently recruiting for an AV and Audio integrator to work with our current team. We are looking for someone who either has current experience in the AV and Audio integration sector or is looking for a change in direction and has a keen interest in this sector.
Audioworks NW Ltd integrate high quality AV Installations in places of worship, educational establishments, from schools to universities, and across the heritage and museum sector. One of the main areas of our work is in houses of worship, predominantly in Christian based churches. The ideal candidate will be sympathetic to the faith-based sector we work in.
The right person will have an attention to detail, which is key as some of the buildings we integrate AV systems into are listed and need sensitive integration solutions. The ability to adapt to fit the needs of an historic building is key to the service we deliver in our sector.
The role will initially be working alongside the Senior Lead Installation Engineer and or the Project Manager to deliver pre specified AV and Audio Solutions.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Full installation of AV and Audio solutions.
Attending customer premises to undertake full integrated AV and Audio requirements based on a pre specified brief and design.
Proactively building close working relationships with the Audioworks team and customers enabling best service.
Timely and accurate reporting and feedback of installation and service work to appropriate parties.
Maintaining standards of technical excellence for all work undertaken, from simple repairs to fully integrated installations.
Maintaining work vehicles are accurately stocked and ready for work.
Occasionally working at height (training will be provided if not currently qualified to do so) but nothing higher than 10 metres.
Requirements
Audioworks are looking for a candidate with the following requirements and experience.
Have significant experience within an AV Installation Engineer role.
Hold effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to read and understand AV system schematics.
Be computer literate and happy to use a range of apps and software tools.
Be prepared and able to travel to client sites across the North and Northwest of England.
Location:
The post will be based at our business premises in Bentham, but work will be carried out on sites across the whole of the North and Northwest region.
Reporting to:
Audioworks NW Ltd is a small but successful integration company and as such you will report directly to the Senior Installation Engineer in fitting and integrating AV and Audio systems. Over time the role could develop so that you report directly to the Managing Director and Project Manager, as you build in confidence to lead your own installations.
Hours of Work:
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, with flexible start and finish times. You will be contracted to work 8 hours a day, but some days may be more and some less. Over a week you are guaranteed to work a minimum of 40 hours.
Salary Range:
£24,000 to £27,500 commensurate with experience.

Qualifications & training:
Essential GCSE to level 5 or equivalent in Maths & English
Desirable Qualifications in associated areas such as Music production, design and technology, IT and computing would be desirable.
Previous experience:
Essential Previous experience in a work site setting is essential.
Desirable Work in IT and music production would be desirable but not essential as some training can be provided.
Skills:
Essential Good technical skills including competency to use power and hand tools.
Essential Basic programming skills for setting equipment is essential.
Essential A full driving license is a requirement of this role.
Desirable Knowledge of audio and audio-visual equipment would be desirable.
Knowledge / awareness of
Essential IPAF, PASMA, Working at Height
Essential Integrated systems and current AV technology
Essential Understand IP networks and IT systems
Essential Knowledge of health and safety
Desirable To hold certificates in these areas is desirable but full training can be provided.
Desirable An interest in music production would be desirable but not essential.
Personal qualities:

Desirable An understanding and sensitivity towards the faith sector is desirable but not essential.
