Many thanks to Martin Ferries for returning to the brand when replacing his digger.

Martin requested a Miller Groundbreaking GTS hitch and had us fit a few small additions to standard spec.

Some comment that the VDS 15 degree tilting undercarriage system is a bit of a gimmick, but it’s been a feature of Neuson diggers since the ‘80s, and those that actually use it swear by its versatility. It’s even retained on machines using a tiltrotator.

Benefits of the system include:

⚫️ Ability to dig vertically down on a cross slope to the full reach of the machine

🟡Operator comfort keeping the seat level when working on a gradient

⚫️Extra reach up or down when cross carriage using the tilt

🟡More weight low down in the chassis for stability

⚫️Raised ground clearance on upper structure

🟡Ability to keep machine level if working with one track on a kerb

While the twin door cab is being phased out this year in favour of a standardised single door cab shared with some of the larger machines in the range, the VDS system is here to stay and available on machines up to the ET42.
