My dad, a baby boomer born post WWII, instilled in me the value of holding onto memories and/or not throwing things away! 🤣 I'm inspired to think he'd be overjoyed to see how his cherished keepsakes have been repurposed into something truly extraordinary. Sewing machine not sewing? 😳 Don't blame it on the fabric (or your skills, let's be real)! It's probably just a victim of neglect! 😂 Regular servicing is like a spa day for your machine - it keeps it running smoothly, prevents those dreaded repair bills, and lets you create masterpieces instead of hot messes! 💫 We recommend servicing for home use every 2-3 years and annual servicing for businesses, and you'll be the sewing master of your domain! 👑

In case you missed our weekly email, here’s a little update from the team at Regent Home of Sewing ❤️

Jon – The last six months have been tough, but there’s finally some light at the end of the tunnel. I miss Dad dearly, but think about him every day, especially remembering the tips and lessons he taught me. He really was the original sewing machine man!

Our service and repairs department has gone crazy. Thanks to your support and a huge amount of hard work, we’ve been busier than ever. We’re now looking at expanding our workshop so we can take on even more repairs, while improving our store and inventory system. Our aim is to get all our stock onto our database, making it easier to keep track of everything and keep the products and supplies you love in stock.

We’ll also be giving the store a little kiss of love as we look ahead to a very special milestone – 70 years of Regent Home of Sewing in 2028! ❤️

Sam – My first six months at Regent have flown by and I’m finally getting into my stride. Coming to work reminds me of Dad, and working alongside Jon has been great! I’ve also visited manufacturers including Janome and Brother, giving me more confidence with servicing and repairing machines. Every day really is a school day!

Mike – I’m really looking forward to rejoining the team full-time. With repairs growing so quickly, it feels like the right time to return. I’m excited about helping develop our larger workshop so we can improve efficiency and keep our customers sewing.

Shahida – This year marks 19 years at Regent, and I still love seeing our customers’ smiles when they visit. I’m looking forward to growing our fabric range, while also bringing in more speciality haberdashery as our e-commerce side grows.

Diane – I’ve been at Regent for 28 years, and it’s been lovely seeing the boys step in, fill Keith’s shoes and continue the business he was so passionate about. I’m still happily doing the paperwork behind the scenes!

The last six months have brought challenges, but reminded us how special this business and our customers are. Thank you for your continued support. We’re so excited for what’s ahead!
