Hi all,

Just a quick update that the store will be closed until Thursday 19th March, whilst the team are attending Dad's funeral. Thank you to all for your lasting support over these hard weeks, it means more to us than you could know.

We’re sharing a heartfelt update with our community. Sadly, our beloved Keith 'Dad' slipped away last Saturday, peaceful and happy with all his family present.

While many knew Dad through his work, those closest to him knew that no matter how successful he was, everything he did was for his family and that grew to many more than blood. His values shaped the spirit of the business — care, integrity, and a genuine commitment to people.

Keith is survived by his two sons and two daughters, and we’re proud to share that Regent Home of Sewing will now be looked after by his sons, Jon and Sam. They will continue building on the strong foundations he created and the relationships he valued so deeply. We will be closing on a Monday from now on so that the boys can get personal affairs in order and the business up to date.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Dad and our family over the years — your kindness means more than words can say.

Many of you will remember Dad as the 'Sewing Machine Man', and stumbling through his thousands of hand written notes we stumbled across one diary that he had started to make a memoir titled 'The Second Sewing Machine Man', any of your stories or memories that you have of Dad will help us to get this finished!

Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a personal update with you all. Over the weekend, Keith (Dad), one of our much-loved Home of Sewing team, was rushed into hospital. It’s been a very worrying time for us as a family and for the team, and the shop has been closed today as a result. There may be some disruption over the next few days while we support him and each other.

We may also need to close earlier than usual at short notice, so if you’re planning to visit, please give us a quick call beforehand just to check we’re here.

We’re doing our very best to keep things moving and get orders out as quickly as we can, and we’re incredibly grateful for your patience and kindness — it truly means the world to us.

Right now, our focus is on Keith, and we’re all hoping and praying for a strong and speedy recovery so he can be back home with us soon ❤️
