My last post was back in January 2025, when I shared the story of trying to save the train I made from scrap metal for Platform 1 Huddersfield, a mental health charity that sadly no longer exists.
Since then, there have been plenty of talks, uncertainty and, of course, red tape around getting the train home.
Then, on 4th August, it finally happened.
The train came home, and it’s now safe here with me. ❤️
For me, it’s not really about the train. It’s about creating something from nothing — taking scrap metal and turning it into one of my clever, quirky and sometimes completely insane creations.
After everything that’s happened over the past couple of years, having it home feels incredibly special. Some memories become even more precious with time.
To everyone who supported me and stuck with me through it all — thank you. ❤️
Platform 1 may be gone, but the memories remain.
Rusty Tramp has always been about creating something from nothing, thinking differently and occasionally wondering, “What the hell am I doing?” 😂
And finally…
It’s home. We did it. ❤️🚂
Worth every bit of it.
