Another successful week hanging and banging for a new customer, 13 displays in varying sizes and 18 high level JBL speakers accordingly zoned, plus karaoke microphone inputs and HDMI laptop inputs and outdoor weatherproof equipment with IP rated speakers.

Lovely work, but it’s somewhat depressing looking at empty fridges and disconnected pumps all week. As the Dubliners sang, “such a terrible place, is a pub with no beer!”

Alas, tis de weekend, I’m on the train home and The Surrey Arms will be adequately stocked. Cheers 🍻

And that’s a wrap for this week! One down, seven more sites to go. 12 displays for Sky/BT Sports plus portrait advertising displays, a huge LED wall, 18 speakers and a waterproof outdoor display plus wired and wireless microphone karaoke inputs and HDMI points for laptop sharing. Touch panel control system behind the bar. All in time for the World Cup.

Not bad for six hours work!

A first-ish fix on an immersive 6 metre wide video wall consisting of ten 55” LG bezel-less displays in 2x5 landscape layout.

Powered by 10x Blustream receivers connected to 10x Blustream transmitters, HDBT over 250m of Cat6a to a Blustream video wall engine which will stitch a composite image in any scale or resolution it is programmed to.

Unfortunately this is the easy part.. with a wall shaped like a banana, the articulating Chief video wall mounts with 12 different directional adjustments will make for a great afternoon levelling the display, followed by a colour tuning.

Modular LED panels are great but sometimes you just need the clarity of a proper screen.

Some backbreaking under-table cable management today which probably should have been in a cabinet rather than precariously installed underneath a boardroom table.. but customers prefer solutions over problems so that’s what we do!

-Blustream 8x8 video matrix feeding four Blustream receivers, 4k HDBT over Cat6a
-Receivers feeding 4x 75” Samsung Flip Pro 4k interactive displays
-Netgear AV hub to power an Extron control system
-Space under table reserved for Extron control processor and 4no Lenovo Mini PCs
-AC power separation from video feeds to avoid signal interference and crosstalk
-4no USB and HDMI fly leads present on table top for BYOD laptop connectivity and interactivity on 75” displays
