Technology can be promising, but it can’t deliver winning outcomes on its own. It takes deep expertise to bring out its full potential.

Selecting a comminution flowsheet is a sophisticated balancing act between ore characteristics, downstream requirements, site constraints, water availability and sustainability targets and, of course, equipment. The calibre of engineering expertise on the project can make or break HPGR implementations.

That’s why engineering houses are increasingly looking for specialised data, technical insight and whole-of-flowsheet support throughout project development.

With the right expert support, engineering houses can identify risks earlier, improve design confidence and deliver better long-term outcomes.

As ore bodies become more challenging and throughput expectations increase, reducing unplanned maintenance has never been more important.

That's why the WARMAN® MCR²® mill circuit pump has been designed to support longer and more predictable operating campaigns.

With increased wear material allowance across all critical wear components, operators can maximise the use of parts and reduce the frequency of major maintenance interventions. The result is longer campaign life, more tonnes processed between shutdowns and less time spent on maintenance.

The new WARMAN® MCR²® mill circuit pump - delivering exponential certainty.

Early tailings decisions shape outcomes for decades.

Tailings decisions are made before a technology is selected.

Water recovery. Storage requirements. TSF footprint. Operational risk. Permitting outcomes. Long-term project value. Many of these factors are influenced by decisions made during pre-feasibility and early project planning, when assumptions are still flexible and options remain open.

Our latest whitepaper explores why tailings management should no longer be treated as a downstream consideration, and how early flowsheet decisions can shape outcomes for decades.

Don’t wa$te on waste. Rethink, reduce, repurpose your tailings with Weir.

Grinding circuit performance starts with the right pebble crushing strategy.

As ore bodies become harder and more challenging, many operations are looking beyond conventional pebble crushing approaches to unlock additional capacity, improve efficiency and stabilise comminution circuits.

In this article, Bjorn Dierx, Director of HPGR and Process at Weir, explores how closed-circuit HPGR pebble crushing can help debottleneck existing operations, support more energy-efficient SAG mill operation and improve overall grinding performance.

The article also highlights key considerations for successful implementation, including equipment design, circuit configuration, automation, process control and condition monitoring technologies such as the automated tyre wear measurement system.

We spend a lot of time talking with mill circuit operators about performance, maintenance and uptime.

This comment by Martin Peroncik captures those conversations perfectly.

“Stop planning around a guess.” Switch to predictability. Clear insight into wear, a better understanding of asset health, and the ability to plan maintenance before it starts affecting throughput.

This perspective reflects challenges and priorities that That thinking helped shape the development of the WARMAN® MCR2® mill pump and continues to influence how we approach mill circuits today.

Water scarcity and environmental constraints are driving greater interest in dry comminution flowsheets.

HPGR technology has emerged as a key enabler, particularly when combined with dry classification and coarse waste rejection technologies.

These HPGR-based flowsheets offer an alternative to conventional grinding circuits, which typically require significant volumes of process water for milling and classification. HPGRs can be integrated into dry processing routes incorporating dry screening or air classification delivering improved energy efficiency while reducing reliance on water-intensive processing.

Integrating pre-concentration technologies allows the rejection of coarse waste. Reducing the mass through the downstream grinding and concentration stages results in lower energy requirements, lower process water consumption and lower volume of fine tailings reporting to storage facilities.

For operations facing water constraints or increasing energy costs, HPGR-based flowsheets can reduce water dependency while supporting more efficient and sustainable operations.
