Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

The conversations matter.
Knowing where to get help matters.
Checking in matters.

But today can feel complicated for those of us bereaved by su***de.

Because alongside all the messages about signs, warning signals and reaching out, many of us find ourselves revisiting questions we've already lived with for years.

What did I miss?
Should I have known?
Could anything have changed the outcome?

The truth is that su***de is complex.

There isn't always a sign someone could have recognised. There isn't always a conversation that would have changed the outcome.

So today, while important conversations about prevention continue, I want to make a little space for those living with the aftermath too.

If today feels heavier than usual, be gentle with yourself.

And remember your person for who they were, not just for how they died.
