Senior Planner
Job Description
Location: Fleet
Reports to: Director
Job Purpose: Providing professional planning advice and services to clients working with the director and on own projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out planning appraisals
2. Preparing Planning and Design and Access Statements
3. Preparing planning applications for submission
4. Preparing and submitting appeals
5. Appointing/liaising with other consultants
6. Managing project budgets
7. Site Visits
8. Attending meetings (clients, planning, project and committee)
9. Working on public consultation strategies
10. Attending public exhibitions
11. Promotion of strategic land
Person-profile template:
1. Personality – degree of self reliance, good interpersonal skills, experience of team working
2. Specific Job Skills – Qualified planner, driving licence
3. Computer Skills – Basic word processing, Excel, PDFs
4. Commercial Skills – Negotiation
5. Management Ability – Ability to lead project teams where necessary
Working Hours & Contract:
Flexible working hours – 2-3 days a week
3 month contract with possibility to extend
