It was always our intention to take the Phoenix Collective's litter crew into the festival scene proper and so in the summer of 2013 Phoenix Event Waste Management was created. We did not take this step to make money, but because all of us in the core group who run the event waste management side of things, care passionately about the environment and agreed that we could provide more eco-centric e
vent waste management services than those already on offer within the industry. Coming at our business from such an angle meant that we were able to place our commitment to our work above profit. And so, we believe, we can offer the most competitive rates in the event waste management sector. The Phoenix Event Waste Management Company was created by The Phoenix Collective and is run by its members. We work with all types of small to medium sized events & conventions including music festivals, county fairs, battle re-enactments & private parties. Our ethos is to clear all waste produced at the event site in a safe and reliable manner and to recycle the maximum possible thus reducing the environmental impact caused by waste being unnecessarily sent to landfill. Our business partners work together to recycle waste turning it into a variety of useful products: garden sculptures & structures, object d'art, bird feeders (glass & plastics); ponchos, tote bags, flags, kites (tent fabric & poles); compost (uncooked food); wind chimes, ashtrays, welded art (metal). All camping gear in good condition is thoroughly cleaned, a percentage given to our sponsored charities and the remainder resold through our partners websites or stalls. Any profit from this is re-invested into the company for maintenance and/or replacement of essential tools and equipment. If you are organising a festival or event with an attendance of up to 30,000 customers we can deal with all aspects of your waste management and recycling needs. Our team members are skilled in a number of other areas and could also assist in some aspects of site construction, dismantling, stewarding and car parking. Or would you like to become a member of our dedicated team and help return messy festival sites into clean green fields? Either way, please feel free to contact [email protected]
