Another cylinder in for repair this week was this one from a jcb telehandler, and as you can see from the photos, some very poor welding from the factory!
The weld had some porosity and inclusions in there which eventually caused a crack in the weld. The original weld was completely ground out, cleaned up on the lathe and rewelded back together. Then pressure tested before being handed over to the customer.

Another job completed this week 👌 Replacing a rotten wooden frame balcony in Deganwy with a new galvanised steel one. Manufactured in the workshop and installed on site by our team

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Here's some photos of a steel frame for a new build in Porthmadog we recently completed. The Unimog coming in very useful on this job! 🏗💪💪
As with all our structural steel work, this was manufactured to CE/UKCA EN1090-EX 2 standard which is now a legal requirement for all fabricated structural steelwork.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Some before and after shots of this John Deere timber harvester kingpost that we repaired this week. The teeth were badly worn but we managed to weld them up and grind them back down to spec. She was a fair old lump!

Busy times in the workshop lately, lots of repair work! This forwarder needed a new bracket welding onto the pivot and needed a new chrome rod for one of the cylinders. All done in house at the workshop 💪💪
