The rain cleared just in time for yesterday’s installation; Standing 1.75m tall, this soldier sculpture was fabricated from 8mm mild steel and finished with a black powder coating. It now stands proudly in Rothesay Road Cemetery- Luton’s first multi-faith cemetery, serving as a lasting tribute to those who served.

The community consultations for this project were incredibly educational and insightful. I was invited into the Gurdwara for an initial introductory talk, where I learnt about the origin and meaning of the Khanda symbol. A second consultation was carried out to decide on the sculpture’s finish, positioning, and size.

A great experience overall. Big thanks to and for helping to facilitate these consultations, which were such an important part of the whole project.

On Friday, I had the honour of installing these two Khanda symbols at the entrance gates of the Guru Nanak Gurdwara on Dallow Road, Luton. Crafted from titanium-coated stainless steel for a rich gold finish, each piece was hand-hammered to catch the light and create depth, TIG welded with an internal box-section framework for strength and securely fixed to the existing gate posts. A privilege to create something so meaningful for the Guru Nanak Gurdwara community.

The new sculpted benches for Edmond’s Park are now complete 🎨

Four bespoke sculpted benches celebrate Didcot’s heritage—featuring Williams F1 team, Great Western Railway, Jobs Dairy, and Didcot power station—laser-cut into 4mm galvanised steel backings. Each bench is supported by galvanised steel gabion cages filled with limestone, including stones decorated by the local primary school and toddler groups, adding a lasting personal touch. Finished with treated pine tops for comfort and durability.
