Construction Equipment Association (CEA) launches new industry awards for 2027

Inaugural CEA Awards to take place at the National Conference Centre based at The National Motorcycle Museum during PlantWorx Construction Exhibition 2027

The CEA (Construction Equipment Association) has announced the launch of the CEA Awards 2027, a new industry awards programme celebrating achievement across the construction equipment sector.

The inaugural awards will take place on the evening of Wednesday 23 June 2027 at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham, during the second day of Plantworx 2027.

Designed with the police, owned by the CEA and adopted across the industry, CESAR is the official scheme of the construction and agricultural machinery industries.

CESAR deters equipment theft, allows police to easily identify machines, and helps recover stolen machinery. It has developed significantly since it was established, thanks to the organisations and people involved in its delivery and support.

The scheme’s existing delivery contract will expire in 2028. In line with good governance and procurement practice, we’re going through a retendering process for the future delivery of the scheme.

In 2026, the 700,000th CESAR registration kit entered the market, demonstrating that the scheme is a well and truly established within the industry. That’s why we’re making every effort to ensure that it stays robust and fit for purpose for the sectors that rely on it.

CEA Chief Executive Viki Bell said: “We are very pleased to welcome GRANIT PARTS to CEA. The aftermarket is a vital part of the construction equipment sector, helping businesses maintain machinery, reduce downtime and support customers throughout the working life of their equipment.
