We are delighted to announce the official installation and commissioning of the eMOB 225 CNC fully electric pipe bender at Navantia UK’s newly modernised Appledore Shipyard in North Devon.

Serving as the technological centrepiece of their state-of-the-art pipe shop, this 225mm capacity machinery is now fully operational, driving unprecedented precision and efficiency for high-profile naval defence and commercial marine projects across the UK.

By eliminating hydraulic systems, the eMOB 225 delivers a zero-fluid, energy-efficient operation—directly supporting Navantia’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing and a greener maritime supply chain.

We extend our formal gratitude to the entire team at Navantia UK for their trust and collaboration from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through to final deployment.

We’ve just completed Factory Acceptance Testing for another AMOB eMOB-225, and the machine performed exactly as expected. During testing, we were bending 219mm OD x 6.3mm wall carbon steel tube with exceptional accuracy and repeatability.

It was great to welcome the team from Navantia UK to the factory to see the machine in action before delivery to Appledore.

The eMOB-225 is the largest fully electric tube bender in the AMOB range, built for demanding applications where consistency, control, and repeatability matter.

We’re looking forward to seeing this machine officially installed and in production in the UK.

When the team at Car S.O.S. needed to tackle a tricky fabrication job, they turned to AMOB technology to get it done right. 🇬🇧

We can finally share that one of our AMOB daily workhorses played a part in the restoration of a classic Nissan Pulsar GTI-R, featured on the popular show.
The challenge was to produce a bespoke catalytic converter and front pipe assembly, including a tight 1D bend on 63.5mm tube, where precision really matters.

In high-performance automotive restoration, there’s very little margin for error, and this clip shows exactly why AMOB machines are trusted for demanding tube bending applications around the world.
