WHAT WE HEARD AT IP2026

One message came through clearly from the conversations we had in Leeds:
The industry doesn’t necessarily need more products. It needs better application, better education and better collaboration.

Across discussions with NHS teams, IPC professionals, clinicians and industry partners, the same themes kept coming back.

A good product still needs to be used correctly.

Training needs to be practical.

Preparedness needs to happen before the pressure arrives.

And manufacturers, distributors and frontline teams need to talk to each other more openly.

That is where Day-Impex wants to focus.

Not simply supplying products, but helping people understand how, where and why they should be used, while taking real frontline feedback back into our product development, technical support and distributor strategy.

We’re already working on what comes next.

So we’d genuinely like to hear from the people doing the job every day:

TWO YEARS IN DEVELOPMENT.
ALMOST READY.

Behind the scenes at Day-Impex, we’ve been developing the next stage of our product range for nearly two years.

We’re moving further into application-led solutions and consumables designed around the environments and customers we already support.

That means practical products built around how they are actually used, not simply adding more lines to a catalogue.

The first new products are due to land by the end of October.
For now, we’re keeping the detail under wraps.

But this is the beginning of a much bigger chapter for Day-Impex.
More products. More practical solutions. More support for the people using them every day.

LAB PREPAREDNESS MATTERS — LONG BEFORE THE HEADLINE.

Recent reports from Russia surrounding a suspected high-risk laboratory incident have put biosafety and preparedness back in the spotlight.
The exact circumstances are still being investigated, but the wider message is important:

Preparedness cannot start after something goes wrong.

It depends on the right combination of procedures, PPE, specimen handling, environmental hygiene, spill response, hand hygiene, safe storage and technical support.

A MAJOR STEP FOR DAY-IMPEX | NHS SUPPLY CHAIN

Day-Impex is proud to confirm that we are now on the NHS Supply Chain, strengthening our ability to support NHS organisations with specialist infection-prevention solutions, technical knowledge and dependable supply.

This is an important milestone for us, but also for the distribution partners we work alongside every day.

Our role is to provide the technical expertise, product support and infrastructure behind the range while continuing to work collaboratively with our distributor network to support NHS customers effectively.

And there is more coming.

Following conversations around IP2026, Day-Impex is working closely with LANXESS on a new infection-prevention project that is now nearing launch.

We’re not ready to reveal everything just yet, but it represents another important step in how we support healthcare, infection-prevention teams and our partners across the UK.

Stronger access. Stronger support. Better collaboration.

ANOTHER YEAR OF PRECISION | ISO 9001:2015

Day-Impex is pleased to confirm the successful completion of another ISO 9001:2015 audit with LPCB / BRE Global.

For us, ISO 9001 is more than a certification. It reflects the standards that underpin the way we operate every day from manufacturing and quality control through to purchasing, warehousing, customer service and distribution.

As Day-Impex continues to grow across Human Health, Animal Health, Cryogenics, Aquaculture and our expanding range of manufactured consumables, maintaining robust processes and a culture of continuous improvement remains a key part of how we work.

We would like to thank the entire Day-Impex team for the work that goes into maintaining these standards throughout the year.

THAT’S A WRAP | IP2026 LEEDS

What a couple of days.

IP2026 has been a brilliant opportunity for the Day-Impex team to spend time with the people who work every day to strengthen infection prevention across healthcare.

From IPC professionals and NHS teams to sterile services, decontamination specialists, clinicians and industry partners, the conversations have been open, practical and genuinely valuable.

Working alongside our partners at LANXESS, we came to Leeds to talk about infection prevention but more importantly, we came to listen.

We’ve heard about the challenges people are facing, the gaps that still exist and where industry can do more to support the people delivering safer healthcare environments every day.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited Booth 21, shared their experience, challenged our thinking and took the time to speak with us.

There are already some exciting ideas and developments coming out of those conversations.

IP2026 may be finished, but the work certainly isn’t.

Great conversations. Stronger partnerships. Shared commitment.

WE’RE NOT REDEVELOPING DILVAC® JUST TO MAKE IT LOOK DIFFERENT.

We’re doing it to make it better.
Behind the scenes at Day-Impex, we’re currently reviewing and redeveloping our DILVAC® range, and we’re starting with two things:

The customer. And the future.

DILVAC has been part of what we manufacture in the UK for many years, but standing still isn’t an option.

We’re looking closely at the whole process from the materials we use and the way components are manufactured, through to assembly, packaging and the finished product.

The questions we’re asking are simple:
Can we make it easier for the customer?
Can we improve the product?
Can we reduce unnecessary material and waste?
Can we make our manufacturing processes more efficient?
Can we make better environmental choices without compromising quality or performance?
Not every change will be visible.

Some of the most important improvements may happen behind the product in manufacturing, materials, sourcing and processes.

And we want our customers involved.

VIRKON® AQUATIC | MASTER DISTRIBUTION ACROSS THE UK

We’re pleased to confirm that Day-Impex is now the Master Distributor for Virkon® Aquatic across the UK, including Scotland, supporting customers with direct access to product, technical support and reliable UK stockholding.

This is an important step for our Animal Health and Aquaculture division.

We are already supporting organisations across a wide range of aquatic environments, including commercial aquaculture, hatcheries, fish farms, public aquaria, research laboratories, aquatic facilities, specialist distributors and water-system operators.

Virkon® Aquatic is designed specifically for aquatic biosecurity applications, supporting cleaning and disinfection across surfaces, equipment, water systems and associated facilities when used in accordance with the product label.

We are also seeing increasing demand from some of the largest operators within the sector, which reinforces the importance of dependable supply, technical knowledge and consistent support.
Our role is not simply to supply product.

It is to help customers and distributors understand the application, maintain availability and strengthen biosecurity across the environments they operate in.
