Good afternoon/evening! As we’re getting into winter servicing time for mowers, and other garden machinery, you may be thinking “I might just cut the grass one more time”. If you do, we would recommend running your mower out of fuel, or putting an additive in the fuel such as the Briggs and Stratton “Fuel fit”. We sell it, or you can purchase it on line. It will keep your fuel healthy for up to 3 years in storage.
We have had lots of call outs recently to “non-starts”, only to find the fuel has “gone off”. The new E10 unleaded fuel is causing lots of problems, as it’s 10% organic, which means lots of microbes are able to grow within it, causing lack of ignition and it can clog the fuel system. If you need advice or would like us to drain your machine ready for winter, please get in touch.
