We’ve been quiet on the Facebook posting front for a good few weeks, but sneaking around all
Over the countryside doing a little bit of this and that…..

The first of the big girls are out of the sheds and having a little look over to see if anything’s hiding that shouldn’t Be!

We’ve had bits fall off machines that shouldn’t…..bits fall off that make you wonder how they fell off….and bits I tried to take off carefully but fell off anyway…🫠🫠🫠

Anyway, nothing a welder and paint (a lot of paint) can’t hide…..

Oh, and it’s been plus 30 degrees…..so the crocs are officially out for the summer too…..

The Hamm agri sunshine bus tour has continued rolling around the south east and rolled into Spring and the impending grass harvest……

Jaguars and Guinness being the main stopping points during the tour…….

We’ve had another 492 in bits for drum bearings and other assorted jobs,

496’s in bits for general servicing and winter repairs, and a Merc engine miss behaving in another jag.

A few Claas tractors sprinkled in for good measure…..

All fixed with luck rather than judgement…….naturally.

And the company terrorist even had a trip out to inspect the quality of the Guinness

For the anoraks out there, this season marked the earliest I’d ever been out with a forager in march…..they say the seasons are changing and there might be some truth in it!

This week at Hamm agri summed up perfectly in the first two photos, sometimes it’s not always rainbows and puppy dogs, things go wrong the diagnostic isn’t always 100% and things snap, seize and break for seemingly no reason 🫠

and……..if you’ve ever had 25ltrs of 80/90 leak out in a vehicle you know, the pain…….and Guinness in multiples is the only cure……

Another fairly line green week, another jag checked over and parts list pending, a axion 810 that threw a rear trumpet bearing and a JD 6600 that I drained 32 litres of engineyoilydiesel out the sump which may be back in for a injection pump re-seal 😬😂

But we regroup and go again next week 🙌

After being asked today if I’d gone out of business because I haven’t posted on the socials in 26’ I thought It was time……(and its February and the shooting season is over)

Unfortunately we’ve still got plenty on and I’ve got to go to work for a living……in the rain, a lot of rain, enough rain to stop you long enough to question the meaning of life stuck on top of the South Downs waiting to be pulled out by a crawler, anyway…..

We’ve been having fun, a fairly lime green affair
To start the year, a few diggers to go at and an engine swap on another 360, foragers checked over, drums pulled out, accelerators re-bearing.

And the other day to day shenanigans that mix it all up.

(And also a new Hamm agri service……Post job selfie, supplied to customers FOC instead of phone calls saying it’s all done…..)

A wintery sunshine start this morning at the races bringing 2025 to a close at Hamm Agri…..

We’ve had some laughs, some tears, a fair bit of swearing and an awful lot of wondering were everything goes again Becuase I forgot to use coloured cable ties again 🫠……

Here’s to 2026…..enjoy it, be kind, help where you can and take a minute now and then to do what you want, and don’t be a dick, no one likes a dick and if your going be to a dick, be a good dick…….no one likes a bad dick…🥴

The end of another busy week at Hamm agri, harvest seems a distant memory away but we still seem to be busy at it!……

Forager overhauls are in full swing, we’ve got some in kit form waiting for parts ready to get up and running for grass 26’……seems a long time away but it somehow always sneaks up quicker than I realise…..

The clutch pack fault on this valtra turned out to be a cocker spaniel stuffed inside the powershift unit, luckily a peice of cheese coaxed him out and we will change the burnt discs as a matter of course before throwing it all back together……

And we thought tight lines were only for fishermen!……

Didn’t take a huge amount of diagnostics to work out the issueon this one, managed to do it whilst driving along, “That’s Fuc…….” Muttered one of the spaniels…..

Fairly straight forward one for a breakdown and field fix……a quick Vee out, buff and grind and little tickle and a few amps later and it was ready to be abused again…..

We’ve had a vintage flash back last week, We’ve gone back in time, woken up in the 60s…..

Something a little different in the workshop, an industrial Massey 135 in for a clutch, flywheel, rear main seal and other assorted debauchery……

Now, she was a local girl….in the village so it felt only right to drive her back home…..make sure it all does what it’s meant to do, I pulled rank and Mikel Mikel saddled up and off he went…

Now I was going to put my pictures of it split, and a worn clutch….but that’s boring and no one wants too see another man’s rumbling spigot bearing 🫠🫠🫠

So here’s a video of the Chailey village version of the goodwood hill climb captured in real life 🤣 …. (And real time 🙃)……his time wasn’t too bad for a first attempt, although the local vicar did overtake him on a push bike.
