While many of you may have been tucked up in bed this Sunday a team from Addfield Environmental and Addfield Projects were taking to the literal hills in order to raise money for as part of their at the Peak District. Taking on the half marathon challenge our team hiked a full 13 miles in what was a surprisingly pleasant day. So far our teams have raised over £1,500 for the charity that sits very closely to many of our hearts. If you would like to add to the 1 million pounds that was raised yesterday we will share the link in the top comment for you. Well done team and I know many of you are paying for it today with sore muscles but it looks to have been an incredible day for a fantastic cause. Well done.

It's the first day of the National Funeral Exhibition (NFE), running for the next three days and the two James' are already starting to see many visitors at Addfield Cremations' stand.

Held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, we are very proud to be attending and showcasing the Addfield Cremation Aurora all electric human cremator, that offers the same efficiency and cremation times as a fossil fueled cremator, with the additional benefits of sustainability that you would not find on a traditional fossil fueled cremator.

One year ago we introduced you to Maggie's Garden and thought we would update you on how beautiful it is looking.

The garden is full of life, colour and warmth and it continues to sit proudly on the Addfield Projects premises as a peaceful place of reflection and remembrance.

Seeing it come into bloom the year has been a really special moment for everyone here at Addfield, and most of all for our Office Manager Karen, whose love for Maggie inspired the garden.

Maggie's Wild Flower Garden continues to support the Margaret "Maggie" Adcock Foundation which provides such vital help and guidance for those affected by cancer, and we hope that the beautiful garden helps to keep the conversation going.

To everyone who has stopped to take a look, left a kind word or supported the Margaret Adcock Foundation, thank you. Maggie's memory lives on in every flower that blooms here at the garden.

This Sunday a few of the Addfield team are taking part in Cancer Research UK’s Big Hike 2026 where they will be completing a half marathon hike in the beautiful Peak District while raising money for Cancer Research UK’s important research into catching Cancer early in patients, making diagnosis kinder and finding Cancer’s weakness.

If you can spare a donation for the team, it will be greatly appreciated, and you would be supporting an important cause. The link to The Big Hike Brigade’s donation page will be in the comments.

This Sunday gone, while most people were relaxing in the sun. Our dedicated team from across Addfield all came together at the Krazy Karts event in Krewe to help raise money for a very important charity "The Joshua Tree" which provides essential support to families affected by childhood cancers.

Taking inspiration from one of our most popular incinerator ranges may not have been the most aerodynamic of choices, nor fastest on the day but it was simply which is good.

Despite the heat our team were there from 7am until late in the afternoon, while sadly they didn't come away with any awards they had a great time and already have plans for improving the Kart to return next year.

A big thanks to all the team that gave up their time to design, build and race the kart and to the organiser Krazy Races races for the fantastic event.

We are very proud to share some good news.

Addfield Projects and Addfield Cremations was awarded last week the Greener Globe Funeral Standard Platinum Award for Sustainability.

The award was presented at our Addfield Projects premises where Operations Direcror, James accepted the accolade on behalf of the entire Addfield Cremations team. A truly proud moment for everyone.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to offering more sustainable human cremations, reducing environmental impact without compromising the dignity, care and quality that familes deserve.

Sustainability isn’t an after thought for us. It’s built into the design, manufactuing and operation of the Addfield Aurora Human Cremator that comes in Electric, Hybrid or Fossil Fuel.

Last week, we had the privilege of attending the open day at Roseland Park and Crematorium — and what a fantastic occasion it was. The event marked the official unveiling of the Addfield Aurora Electric, a milestone we're incredibly proud of. It was wonderful to see the Aurora up close in such a beautiful setting.
This was a first for us in many ways, The First Human Cremator we have installed, The First All Electric Cremator, The First Small Scale Energy Recovery installation and for us personally the first time we had seen one fully installed.
This is a fantastic achievement for the team at Addfield Cremations that are bringing the same high quality and efficiency that people expect from our machines into the Human Cremation sector and it could not have been in a better location. Roseland Park and Crematorium is a brand new facility in Bolsover, Derbyshire, UK and the site does look amazing.
There are still a few finishing touches to go across the site before public cremations will be in operation and when it is we will look forward to sharing more information and a full case study with you.

There’s no location too remote for Addfield Projects, and our latest case study explores the project we completed for the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) where we supplied a bespoke G100 containerised mixed municipal and clinical incinerator at the Rothera Research Station to dispose of up to 100kg of the day-to-day waste generated by the residents. The harsh environments in the South Pole were challenges that we triumphantly overcame with the use of heated containers, insulated fuel lines and remote monitoring.

It is a sad week for the team here at Addfield Projects as we say goodbye to not one but two fantastic members of the team. In fact on paper the longest serving employee of Addfield Projects, as he was the very first to have been employed when the company was created seven years ago as the rest of the team at the time were still part of Addfield Environmental. David Yates who is well known in the industry has not only celebrated his Birthday this week but also his retirement and will be leaving us although we already have plans to welcome him back on a number of upcoming projects where he will pass on his many years of experience to the next generation of engineers and project managers.
At the other end of the career spectrum we have Sam Harris who has been with Addfield Projects now for a little under three years and is leaving to take on fresh challenges in the city.
We would like to wish the both of them all the best of luck in their next adventures and thank them for all the great work they have given us.
