Finally got the chassis joined to the subframes 🎉😁, admittedly not on the first attempt, forgot to remove the lower lambda sensor, and decided to fit the floors as well 🤔

Today my daughter .trumble_ (and now social media manager 🙏😍) created these pictures of what the final project car should look like.

The car is an Exocet kit car based built on a MX5 Skate.

The donor uses a MZR (not a typo) 2L naturally aspirated engine ~160hp ;combined with the new chassis total weight should be ~700kg, so at best 230hp per tonne, 0-60mph 4-5 seconds (so I am told).

Thanks to some good advice from Kevin, we are delaying joining the chassis to the skate, and doing the brake and fuel lines, at least first.

Why work this out? I wanted to make some sense of the statistics Phil Revolution Race Cars was talking about when I saw him this evening

Local company Revolution Race Cars has made a track car with a turbo'd 2L engine with a similar body weight ~700kg, but achieved 436hp per tonne, and it is a HYPERSport Car. It looks stunning.

Million-dollar, carbon-tubbed track cars are ten a penny; those that cost the same as a 911 rather less so
