Works started on this Eco friendly build in Beckenham which was left with all sorts of problems after the previous builder cut all sorts of corners leaving problems all over. We have already realigned all the guttering around the building sealing all the unions.
New damp coarsing has been installed correctly under all the thresholds at basement level. New Tiling is underway in the basement area as all the previous tiles were damaged by falling debris from the scaffolding. Porcelain tiles are being re-set on the front paved area where the previous builder decided to dot and dab them with adhesive. Holes are being filled at ground level between external brickwork and internal walls where cavity’s were left open enabling mice and rats to get in running between the walls in the house. Decking areas to be re- laid as wrong type of timber used making all areas hazardous. All cladding to be removed as instructed by the timber preservation surveyor as wrong type of cladding used, not treated leaving gaps for all sorts of vermin to get in which has already been a huge issue. Outlet pipes from roof garden to be replaced the list goes on. So nice to be able to help clients out that have spent hundreds of thousands on a build that quite simply is shocking on all counts. On a more positive note we are in the process of designing new paved hard standing areas in the garden for BBQ areas with new fence lines, Walls and a large summer house that we will be doing in the new year.
